Through an anonymous tip, I was told to check the October Project web site. I was delighted to find that they're back together and working on a three-song sampler CD.

October Project holds a unique place in my musical pantheon -- it's the voice of a homeland, not always at the forefront of my preferences but one to which I inexorably return.

For reasons not entirely clear to me, memories and preferences powerful enough to bind to the sense of smell gain some measure of immortality and inviolacy. I cannot listen to October Project without smelling the fields of honeysuckle and milkweed that suffused my hometown.
