Listening earlier today to my perennial favorite CBC North Radio One Iqaluit when a newscaster, speaking in Inuktitut about something gleaned in turn from either an English or French report, related the actions of an individual somewhere in Canada.

He was dressed casually, standing at a busy streetcorner in Toronto, holding above his head a crudely made sign bearing what was once just marketing for tourists: I (heart) NY.
